  • Account Information: When you create an account using Apple ID authentication, we collect your Apple ID identifier and email address (if you choose to share it).
  • Task and Project Data: We collect and store the tasks, projects, notes, and organizational data you create within the app.
  • Program Data: Information about your participation in AI-powered programs, including progress, completion status, and interactions.
  • Conversation Data: Text and voice conversations you have with Unity's AI assistant, which are used to provide personalized guidance.
  • Subscription Data: Information about your subscription plan, billing cycle, subscription start date, current period dates, and conversation time usage for enforcing plan limits.
  • Device Data: Device identifiers, push notification tokens, timezone, locale preferences, and app state information to enable synchronization and notifications across your devices.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including feature usage, preferences, interaction patterns, and error logs for improving app stability and performance.
  • Backup Data: If you choose to enable iCloud backup, your app data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account in accordance with Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Data Storage and Security

Your data security is paramount to us:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols and encrypted at rest.
  • Secure Storage: Your app data is stored using MongoDB Atlas cloud database services and AWS infrastructure primarily located in the Sydney, Australia region (ap-southeast-2). Media files (audio, images) are stored on AWS S3. Push notifications are handled through AWS SNS.
  • Access Controls: Strict access controls ensure only authorized personnel can access infrastructure, and your personal data is only accessible by you.
  • Regular Security Audits: We conduct regular security assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

AI and Third-Party Services

Unity integrates with third-party services to provide advanced features:

  • OpenAI: AI conversations and program guidance are powered by OpenAI's language models. Conversation data is sent to OpenAI for processing.
  • ElevenLabs: Voice features use ElevenLabs for speech synthesis and voice processing.
  • Apple Services: Authentication is handled through Apple's secure Sign in with Apple service. If you enable iCloud backup, your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): We use AWS S3 for secure media file storage (audio recordings, images) and AWS SNS for delivering push notifications to your devices.
  • MongoDB Atlas: Your app data (tasks, projects, conversations, programs) is stored and synchronized using MongoDB Atlas cloud database services.
  • Bugfender: We use Bugfender for error tracking and diagnostic logging to identify and fix technical issues. Error logs may contain technical information about app crashes and performance issues but do not include your personal content (tasks, notes, conversations).

These services have their own privacy policies governing data use. We choose partners who maintain high privacy and security standards.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share specific information.
  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our services (cloud hosting, AI services, analytics).
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your information:

  • Access and Export: You can access and export your data at any time through the app.
  • Correction: You can update or correct your information within the app.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential notifications and marketing communications.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Children's Privacy

Unity is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

International Data Transfers

Your information is primarily stored on servers located in Australia (AWS Sydney region). However, some of our third-party service providers (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Bugfender) may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States. When your information is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Unity after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
